چکیده

The continuous advancements of particle imaging techniques for flow field measurements have led to systems and processing approaches matching the demands 3D velocimetry at large scale (Schanz et al., 2016; Discetti Coletti, 2018). Often, past an object immersed in fluid is key interest, some cases experimentalist exploits data analysis near-surface properties such as pressure. It follows that knowledge shape position essential. For 2D studies, issue identifying fluid-solid interface often reduces detection intensity gradient resulting from light sheet striking object. latter task well explored, with a variety methods providing measurement plane (Canny, 1986; Malik 2001; Gui 2003, among others). These approaches, however, are not applicable volumetric studies where illumination diffuse. A frequently applied alternative fluid-structure-interaction dual-measurement approach, second system tracks (e.g., Acher 2019; Zhang 2019) complexity operating two may be affordable motivating development rely solely on system. Particle based been addressed various perspectives, containing fluid-fluid interfaces. Examples utilizing tomographic PIV include Adhikari Longmire (2012), Im al. (2014), Ebi Clemens (2016). examples identify by discriminating seeded phase (the fluid) void solid). present work inspired this principle, but it assumes discrete distribution obtained generic tracking algorithm IPR Wieneke or “Shake-The-Box” Schanz (2016), foundation. Summarizing, aims detect surface solid flow, spatial tracers recorded PTV measurement.

NeuralNetwork Based 3D Surface Reconstruction

This paper proposes a novel neural-network-based adaptive hybrid-reflectance three-dimensional (3-D) surface reconstruction model. The neural network combines the diffuse and specular components into a hybrid model. The proposed model considers the characteristics of each point and the variant albedo to prevent the reconstructed surface from being distorted. The neural network inputs are the pi...

Convexity in Image-Based 3D Surface Reconstruction

This work deals with the application of convex optimization techniques to the context of imagebased 3D surface reconstruction, in particular shape from silhouettes, multiview stereo and 3D segmentation. The focus is thereby not only on the optimization, but also on the design of appropriate energy functionals to be minimized. Most of the chapters of this thesis are devoted to the construction o...

3d Surface Reconstruction from Horizons

In this paper we present a general solution to the problem of 3D reconstruction from the analysis of luminance edges, which takes into account possible viewer-dependent characteristics of such contours. The method first proceeds by matching contours in a loose fashion, so that both sharp edges and horizons are included. Classical stereometric methods allow us to detect sharp edges and rule out ...

Survey on 3D Surface Reconstruction

The recent advent of increasingly affordable and powerful 3D scanning devices capable of capturing high resolution range data about real-world objects and environments has fueled research into effective 3D surface reconstruction techniques for rendering the raw point cloud data produced by many of these devices into a form that would make it usable in a variety of application domains. This pape...
